SwitchBot’s compact robot vacuums, the K10+ and its newer sibling, the K10+ Pro, are designed for smaller homes and people looking for a space-saving cleaning solution.
Not only do these little robot cleaners fit into smaller spaces, but their docks are smaller than usual, making them easier to keep out of sight.
But with a significant price difference between the two, is the K10+ Pro worth the extra outlay or could the cheaper K10+ be the right little robot cleaner for you?

If you look at the two side by side, you’d be forgiven for not knowing which SwitchBot is which…they’re practically identical.
Both the SwitchBit K10+ and K10+ Pro have an ultra-compact diameter of 248 mm, making them the smallest robot vacuum cleaners on the market.
In comparison, more “normal” sized robot cleaners, such as the Roborock Q5 Pro or the Ecovacs Deebot T20, measure around the 365mm diameter mark.
Both models measure 92mm high, but it’s actually much smaller than more regular-sized models, which typically measure between 100 and 110mm, so it still won’t fit under furniture with very tight spaces.
If you’re looking for something less thick to slide under low furniture, then the Roborock Qrevo Slim may be a better option as it’s only 82mm high.
It’s not just the cleaning robots that are small, their automatic emptying stations measure just 261 x 210 x 323mm, so they will require a much smaller space in your home.
Despite their miniature size, those springs can still hold up to 4 liters of dust and dirt.
The Pro introduced a subtle aesthetic change with the self-emptying base featuring a lighter gray base and, more importantly than that, added antibacterial dust bags to the mix; a boon for allergy sufferers, although you can technically buy some of these bags to use in the non-Pro variant.
Flip the robots over and you’ll see that there are actually some differences. The Pro has been upgraded to a rubber design (similar to the SwitchBot S10), which significantly improves debris pickup, especially on hard floors.

Both models rely on LiDAR navigation, but the Pro ups the ante with a PSD distance sensor, which offers slightly better obstacle detection and map accuracy. That said, neither excels at avoiding clutter and cables, which often requires intervention.
Both vacuums connect via the SwitchBot app and can store up to 10 maps, making them suitable for multi-story homes.
You’ll need to manually adjust the maps for room divisions or no-go zones, which is standard in this price range.
If you’re already invested in the SwitchBot ecosystem, both models integrate with the SwitchBot Hub for smart home routines and both are Matter compatible when paired with the Hub 2.
Voice control through Alexa and Google Assistant is also available, which adds an extra level of convenience, but don’t expect to be able to do much more than start or stop the robots, or include them in automations.

The Pro increases suction power to 3000 Pa from the 2500 Pa of the K10+, making it more effective on rugs and carpets. While the difference isn’t revolutionary, the additional power of the Pro improves cleaning on medium-pile surfaces.
SwitchBot claims the Pro has a tighter cleaning radius, covering more ground in smaller spaces. In practice, both models do a good job on edges and corners, but the Pro cleans these areas more effectively.
However, the Pro takes much longer to clean areas compared to larger rivals like the Dyson 360 Vis Nav, so patience is required.
The Pro’s noise levels have been reduced thanks to SilenTech, making it one of the quietest models in its class.

Both models offer a basic mopping function that drags a disposable cloth across the floor. Neither detects carpets during mopping and removing or attaching the mop cloth is difficult.
In short, neither of them stand out in this department. If mopping is a priority, these are not the droids you are looking for.

However, while the upgrades to the Pro are notable, they don’t really justify the nearly double price tag for most people, who will be almost as well served by the cheaper original.
Yes, the Pro model is better at cornering, is noticeably quieter during operation, and features some subtle design tweaks, but the differences don’t really justify that extra cost.
