watchOS 11.2 is now available to Apple Watch users with updated Camera Remote app
In addition to the general release of iOS 18.2, Apple is also releasing watchOS 11.2 today for Apple Watch users. Unlike iOS 18.2, which adds new Apple Intelligence features, watchOS 11.2 isn’t technically a major update, but it does add new features to the Camera Remote app.
What’s new in watchOS 11.2
There’s not much to say about watchOS 11.2 other than the update includes bug fixes and general improvements. However, those who use the Camera Remote app on their Apple Watch to control their iPhone’s camera will notice a new feature. Specifically, the app now allows users to pause videos while recording. The same option was added to iPhone users with iOS 18.0 in September.
In addition to this improvement, Apple Watch users in China can now check tide conditions with the new Tides added in watchOS 11.
To update your Apple Watch, go to Settings > General > Software Update. Note that your Apple Watch must have at least 50% battery power and be connected to a charger to install watchOS updates.
