CES 2025: Crazy Cleanup Game Headlines Excellent Las Vegas Launch Event

SwitchBot (famous for the Finger Bot, the little robot cleaner, and the automatic curtain opener) wants to take multitasking to a whole new level.

The Chinese smart home specialist has used CES 2025 to introduce the K20+ Pro, a home robot that performs more tasks than you’d think possible (or even necessary).

Vacuuming, air purifying, home security, delivering snacks, and even modifying it yourself – this modular wonder wants to do it all.

At its core is SwitchBot’s FusionPlatform, a tech-packed dock—complete with a mini robot vacuum, of course—that connects with various accessories to transform the K20+ Pro into whatever your home needs.

Whether patrolling the house for security, performing air purification tasks, or bringing drinks to the couch, the K20+ Pro wants to replace an entire line of single-purpose devices with one shape-shifting machine.

The K20+ Pro is less of a one-trick pony and more of a multitasking circus act. Among its suggested uses are,,,

  • Smart Delivery Assistant: With the capacity to carry up to 8kg, you can deliver everything from snacks to pet supplies.
  • mobile security patrol: When combined with a SwitchBot Pan/Tilt camera, you can patrol your home and keep an eye on pets and valuables while you’re away.
  • Air purifier on wheels: The K20+ Pro air purifier kit moves from room to room to clean the air and offers mobile filtration of allergens and contaminants.
  • Suction versatility: Equipped with TwinFlow suction technology, it handles everything from deep cleaning to quick touch-ups.

SwitchBot also wants users to have their own ideas.

FusionPlatform enables easy integration of custom accessories, making it possible for smart home enthusiasts looking to push the boundaries.

The K20+ Pro integrates into the broader SwitchBot smart home ecosystem and also works with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri.

The K20+ Pro will be available later this year in various kits, from the basic to the extremely over-the-top “Omni Ultimate Kit.”

Like it or laugh at it, the SwitchBot K20+ Pro will undoubtedly be one of the craziest announcements of CES 2025.

In addition to its multitasking machine, SwitchBot also used CES 2025 to unveil a trio of interesting new products.

The SwitchBot S20 Pro floor cleaning robot hopes to build on the success of its predecessor, the S10.

With its unique dual extension design, it should tackle even the trickiest corners and edges thanks to an extendable side brush and roller mop.

Equipped with a powerful 15,000 Pa suction and RinseSync mopping self-cleaning, the S20 Pro is definitely the most powerful robot cleaner we’ve seen from the brand so far.

Like the S10, which was quite unique when it launched a year ago, its all-in-one base station comes in two versions; one with a standard water tank and another with an automatic filling and draining system that can be connected directly to the water mains and drain pipe.

It also offers features like high-temperature mop drying and automatic cleaning solution refill.

It is also backwards compatible with the S10 water station (and humidifier) and is also compatible with Matter.

Switchbot Lock Ultra 2

Also on display at the show will be the SwitchBot Lock Ultra, which updates last year’s Lock Pro with an even more tenant-friendly design to fit almost any existing lock.

With a FastUnlock system, users will be able to unlock using one of 16 methods, including fingerprint recognition, app control, and voice assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant.

It features a six-layer security system, including AES-128 encryption, and there’s Matter support if you also add a SwitchBot hub to the mix.

Lastly, the SwitchBot Video Doorbell was also introduced, which comes with a 4.3-inch portable display with built-in 100dB.

The SwitchBot Video Doorbell features a 20-month battery life, 2K ultra-HD video, color night vision, and a 165° wide-angle view.

There’s also AI motion detection, Alexa integration, and up to 512GB of local storage; so there are no subscription fees.

There are no prices yet for any of these new SwitchBot devices, but we know that they will all go on sale in the second quarter of 2025.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
