Shop E Store CES 2025: It’s just a concept at the moment, but it certainly looks pretty cool
Xgimi has used CES 2025 to show off an interesting new concept that could well be a vision of what our TV setups will look like in the near future.
Dubbed the Xgimi Ascend, it’s part projector, part TV, part sound system, and part virtual fireplace all in one.
Basically, it’s an ultra-short throw Xgimi Aura 2 projector providing the visuals, with a 100-inch motorized ambient light rejection (ALR) screen and a pair of premium Harman Kardon sound bars thrown into the mix.
The result is a stunning home theater solution that can also be used as a screen to enhance the ambiance.
For that, it is possible to simply place the screen a third or even half and project any scene you want on it.
Xgimi showed off a fireplace for CES 2025, but it could also be a virtual fish tank or a window to any scene you want.
However, as I said, it’s not actually a real product for now, just a concept, but there is hope that that may change.
“Ascend is a symbol of our dedication to continuous innovation in home entertainment and a testament to our drive to provide users with powerful and stylish solutions that enhance their everyday lives,” explained Apollo Zhong, CEO of Xgimi.

It’s certainly awesome and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the feedback they’re getting inspires them to create something real… my sources on the show indicated that we might not have to wait long.
