Apple Watch saves lives – the latest example being a dramatic rescue captured on video in Washington state. Rescuers are credited with helping the Apple Watch SOS feature find skiers who fell 1,000 feet and helping them find them to keep them from freezing.

Technology may have saved backcountry skiers from freezing to death. King County Air Support was called to assist the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office after an Apple Watch SOS went through regarding an injured skier.
