Making sure Alexa knows the right time really goes a long way toward receiving a more accurate experience. This is usually taken care of during setup, but, if you move or take your device somewhere else, you may want to do all of this yourself.
How do you manually change the time in the Alexa app? Well, that is what we will explain in this guide. These steps will work for any echo device you have on your network, from the Echo Point with Clock, the Wide Show Range, or the new Echo Point.

The short version
- Open the Alexa app.
- Touch the More tab in the bottom bar.
- Leverage Settings.
- Select Device settings.
- Choose the echo device You want to change time.
- Touch the COG Configuration in the upper right corner.
- Tap Time zone.
- Choose your Country and Time Area.
Depending on the echo device you have, there are a couple of different ways to change the time. If you have an Echo Dot or Echo Pop, for example, you’ll need to change the time through the Alexa app as we described in the short version above, and a slightly more detailed and illustrated version below.
However, if you have one of the Echo Show devices, or perhaps the Echo Hub or Echo Dot, you can also change the time on the Echo device.
