Roborock Saros 10R Review
Roborock’s last robot robot vacuum was tested
A powerful flagship of flake, Roborock Saros 10R can deeply clean its home and difficult stains. Starsight Autonomous Navigation 2.0 means that there is no dome at the top, letting the robot adjust under furniture, many other rivals cannot. Yes, it is quite expensive and needs some adjustments to obtain the best of it, including, in my case, having to manually add thresholds to the map so that the adaptable chassis works. Leaving those minor problems aside, this is really a brilliant robot vacuum and a mop and another success story of Roborock’s stable.
-
Powerful 20,000 suction rating
-
Smart and capable navigation
-
Thin to slide under furniture
-
Excellent deep mop
-
You need some configuration to administer thresholds

Roborock Saros 10R: Introduction
- Type: robot vacuum with racks
- MACACEO: Auto -Empathetic Station and Autolympiating
- Navigation system: 3D TOF, Starsight Autonomous System
If you thought that the Roborock name convention for its arsenal of cleaners constantly growth was already confusing, then we have some bad news for you.
In January in CES 2025, Roborock brought the name of Saros for its high -end robot vacuum clezers. That new range includes the next Roborock Saros Z70, with its robotic arm, and the Roborock Saros 10R, which I have in review here, and the Roborock Saros 10.
As you can see, the last two products have very similar names and are very similar products. The main differences are that the 10R takes the Starsight navigation system, which we saw introduced into the roborock qrevo Slim, to version 2.0, so it does not need a lidar tower because it uses double -light 3D time sensors of double light, double light, in its place.
The 10 has a retractable lidar dome, similar to that of Dreame X50 Ultra Complete.
The 10R also has a suction power slightly lower than 10 – 20,000PA compared to 22,000PA, and uses rotating microfiber pads to mop; The 10 uses a vibratory traperation pad.
We will have a saros 10 to prove soon, but in the meantime, we can see how Roborock Saros 10R compares with the main competition in the high range of the autonomous cleaning market.
Design and components
- Starsight Autonomos System 2.0
- The blades of the badge can be removed or elevated
- Apostilift chassis
The Roborock Qrevo Slim, despite being in the company’s most economical range, was the company’s first robot to change the navigation system, dropping the Lidar dome for an autonomous start system.
With the Roborock Saros 10R we obtain autonomous Starsight System 2.0, which uses the detection of 3D TOF to build a 3D view of its surroundings, all without the need for a Lidar dome.
With only 7.98 cm high, Saros 10R is one of the shortest robot vacuum cleaners I have seen, and can fit under many sofas and other pieces of low furniture, such as sideboards.
I must point out that both Dreame X50 Ultra Complete and Roborock Saros 10 have sensors that can be retracted in the robot’s body, which allows them to press under low furniture.
The advantage of a sensor mounted on the top is that you can obtain a 360 degree field of vision; With Startingight, the robot scan from the front. In practice, I have not noticed much difference in navigation capacity between the two systems.
Also in the front of the robot there is a traditional camera, which uses AI to detect and avoid common obstacles, such as cables, shoes and pet disorder.

In the upper part, the robot has a family design, with a button to start and stop cleaning, and another to send to the robot home.
There is a panel that rises to access the robot container. Since there is a dock that self -evaluations will not need to eliminate the container to empty, but you must clean the filter and wash it.

Below, the Roborock Saros 10R looks quite different from other robot vacuum cleaners that I have tried, with a duodivid floor brush, which has a division in the middle. The idea is that the hair is thrown towards the center of the brush and absorbed in the container.
A flexible side brush is on one side and can be extended to clean right in the corners, to the edges and even low low furniture, such as a refrigerator freezer.
The flexiarm is also available in one of the two MOP pads, allowing the robot to clean to the right to the edges of the rooms.

I have the Roborock Saros 10R with the multifunctional dock 4.0 of 10 in 1, which is a self -assessment and self -impressive spring that uses water tanks. There is also a smaller coupling station that can be covered in its running water.

With the 4.0 multifunctional dock, it fits the 2 -liter bags, which should last the best part of two months.
Next to the container bag is the detergent support. Roborock does not provide any floors cleanser in the box; I have used the robot with my own hard -to -raise cleaner without bad effects. See our guide to use detergents with Roborock machines.

Then there are two 3 -liter water tanks, one for dirty and one for cleaning. That gives him many cleaning cycles without having to fill them.
I tend to empty and wash the dirty tank when the clean tank needs to fill, and the application will tell you when the case.

Heating the water at 80 ° C, the dock can effectively clean the MOP and eliminate dirt. At the end of a cleaning cycle, 55 ° C air is used to dry them, preventing odors from accumulating.
Like Dreame X50 Ultra Complete Trapes pads, Roborock Saros 10R traper pads are magnetic. This allows the dock to do them when they are not needed only in a vacuum, which allows you to board the carpets without fear of moistening them.
In addition, MOP pads can lift in 12 mm when the carpet is detected, allowing Roborock Saros 10R to move on most short battery carpets.
Similarly, the floor and side brush can also be lifted, so they are only in contact with the floor when necessary. For example, when it is only cleaned, brushes can be lifted, so that wet dirt does not bind to them.
The adventilift chassis also allows the robot to raise its body in 10 mm, or any of the corner. This technology allows the robot to move on some thresholds that other robots cannot navigate (2 to 4 cm high), and also to get up to deal with the carpet of deep batteries.
The application
- Powerful and easy to configure
- Without direct emptiness and then Mop Mode
The control of the Roborock Saros 10R, as expected, is through the Roborock application. It is still one of the best available and mostly easy to use, bar a couple of peculiarities.
The first thing to do is connect the Roborock Saros 10R to the application and the Wi-Fi network of your home, which only takes a few minutes.
Once this is done, the robot comes out in a mapping race, which is very fast again. With the built map, the application suggests where the rooms should be, although it is quite easy to adjust them.
Advanced options include establishing the type of floor (hard floor or carpet), to help the robot make the correct cleaning decisions. And you can establish areas not if there is a place that you don’t want the robot to go.

Interestingly, there is no option for an area without grimace. While the robot’s ability to lift or release their cloth pads means that most people do not want this option, I would still like. There are many houses that have delicate floors that may not want to risk getting wet.
There are configurations of the entire system to deal with the carpet. The predetermined value is the dynamic elevation, to lift the MOP pads; However, you can also configure the robot to ignore carpets or just to cross them when necessary.
The additional configuration includes the configuration of the impulse of the carpet, which increases the suction power when the carpet is detected; Deep cleaning, where carpets are aspirated after a room is cleaned; and to empty carpets first before wetting the paddle pad.
It is also worth lighting the option to return to a very dirty area for a second mop.

I also recommend using the AI laboratory section to light the options to detect spots and turn on deep cleaning, and extend low cracks.
There is an excellent cleaning options. Smartplan is the simplest, allowing the robot to automatically work the best way to clean its home. You can turn off this and configure the robot to clean your entire house, a room (or rooms of your choice) or an area that draws on the map.
The areas can also include furniture that adds to the map and then touch. For example, I can quickly clean around my dining table with just a couple of taps.

There is an option to aspire alone, mop alone or vacuum and mop. It is a bit annoying that there is no option here for the first vacuum and then tra magician; Instead, you must establish this option through a schedule.
With the manual selection, there are four main emptiness modes (quiet, balanced, turbo and maximum), but paste the robot in a vacuum mode and get Max+ to obtain even more power.
Mopping gives you three water flow levels, but the MOP mode only gives you two more routing options for deeper cleaning.

Voice Control is available through Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Integrated Hello Rocky. In general, I find it easier to wear schedules, the application for directed cleaning or only the button at the front.
Finally, the subject support will be available through a firmware update at some point in the future.
Performance
- Excellent vacuum
- Bright moping with correct adjustments
- The climbing threshold needed help
Let Roborock Saros 10r wandered around my trial environment, I was impressed how well it sailed.
He immersed himself under my sincere corner sofa without stuck, and managed to move around cables, shoes and false pet disorder that he had out there. I do not say that this robot is never stuck, but it is likely to happen much less frequently than with cheaper models.
I fought a little for the threshold to run out. Establishing a board between the rooms, Roborock Saros 10R initially refused to climb on it. I had to return to the application and place the threshold on the floor, which caused the robot to climb on it; I did not have to do this with DREAME X50 Ultra Complete.

I put a deep battery carpet on the floor and let the robot run on it, what it did without getting stuck and continue aspiring.
With 20,000 suction power, the Roborock Saros 10R is one of the most powerful robot vacuum cleaners: that is 10,000Pa more powerful than the previous flagship, the S8 Maxv Ultra.
Cleaning, as expected, is excellent. The carpets are cleaned brilliantly, the hard floors are easily addressed and dirt is removed directly in the corners.
The mop is generally very good. I established the Roborock Saros 10R at the highest water flow level and turned on earth detection.
Most spots were removed in two passes, but I had to use two more passes to clean a complicated ketchup stain. Even so, Roborock Saros 10R achieved the job and I didn’t have to get the hard floor cleaner.

Testing with the hair of the pets and long strands of human hair, the roborock saros 10r picked up everything without the hair becoming around any of the brushes.
The battery life is cited at 180 minutes in the lowest configuration. Even in higher environments and with multiple selected passes, Roborock Saros 10R has enough power to move through a typical floor, leaving enough in the spot work tank.
Final thoughts
Roborock Saros 10R is an excellent robot vacuum cleaner. It is powerful, intelligent and can fit under the holes that many other robots cannot. The Roborock Saros 10R is a bit more expensive than Dreame X50 Ultra Complete, which has similar characteristics and needed a slightly less configuration to obtain the best results.
However, intelligent navigation and the ability to address any type of spot means that this is a quality robot vacuum and it is worth the additional disbursement.
How do we try
When we publish our reviews, they may be sure they are the result of “living” with long -term tests.
Robot cleaners usually live inside an ecosystem, or a range of products that supposedly work in harmony. And are designed to offer a range of different cleaning options. Therefore, it is impossible to use a robbery cleaner for a week and emit a verdict.
Because we are testing a smart home kit all day, every day, we know what matters and how an intelligent cleaning machine is compared to alternatives that could also be considering.
Our reviews are integral, objective and fair and, of course, we are never paid directly to check a device.
Read our guide on how we test the robot vacuum cleaners for more information.
