Here’s everything Apple announced this week
As Tim Cook promised, there was a lot of “air” in Apple News this week. The company has announced two new iPad models, two new Mac models, and a super-powerful Apple silicon chip. Here’s the complete summary of everything Apple announced this week…
New iPad Air
Apple kicked things off with the launch of a new iPad Air with the M3 chip. It is available in the same 11-inch and 13-inch form factors as before. Color options include blue, purple, starlight and space gray, but storage options are 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.

There is also a new magic keyboard for the iPad Air. It has a row of functions and a slightly larger trackpad. The 11-inch version of the Magic Keyboard costs $299, while the 13-inch model costs $349.
The 11-inch iPad Air starts at $599, while the 13-inch model starts at $799. The first order will arrive on March 12th.

iPad (A16)

There is also a new version of Apple’s most affordable iPad. The new iPad comes with an A16 chip. This is up to 30% faster than the previous generation A14 model, according to Apple. It also comes with twice the storage for the previous model starting at 128GB at the same starting price of $349.
The downside of the new iPad is that it does not support Apple Intelligence. For most people, it probably doesn’t break the contract for now.
New iPhone Case and Apple Watch Band

Apple’s silicone case is now available in four new colors.
The new Apple Watch bands include:
New MacBook Air

On Wednesday, Apple announced its M4 MacBook Air. It is available in 13-inch and 15-inch screen sizes. In addition to the more powerful M4 chip, the new MacBook Air also comes with a sophisticated new Sky Blue color option.
The biggest MacBook Air News? It’s now $100 cheaper than before. The 13-inch M4 MacBook Air starts at $999, while the 15-inch model starts at $1,199. The base configuration comes with 16GB of unified memory and 256GB of storage. I think the M4 MacBook Air is just the best MacBook Value Bale Apple has ever released.

The biggest surprise of the week was the introduction of the new Mac Studio. The new Mac Studio is available with the M4 Max and M3 Ultra chips. The same M4 Max chip that debuted on the MacBook Pro last year, but this is the first release of the M3 Ultra.
- Up to 32 core CPU with 24 performance cores and 8 efficiency cores.
- Up to 80 core GPU, more than any Apple silicon chip
- Almost faster than M4 Max for workloads with high CPU and GPU co-accounts
- Up to 2.6 times faster than Mac Studio with M1 Ultra
The M3 Ultra Mac Studio can be configured with up to 512GB of unified memory starting from 96GB. You can also upgrade your SSD storage to a whopping 16TB.
