If Apple holds hopes that it may soon release a new “mini” version of the iPhone, then it’s time to move on. Bloomberg’s Mark Garman reports that Apple has no plans to release another “iPhone Mini” device.

During Q&A with Bloomberg Subscribers were asked this week about the possibility that Apple will release something similar to the iPhone 12 Mini and iPhone 13 Mini. He replied:

You know, you know, the market is telling Apple. Now they’re not working on anything. They are not currently working on smaller iPhones. They really left. They’re trying to make it a display that’s about 6 inches, the base size, and they’re just trying to get bigger and bigger. And the bigger you get, the smaller the 6-inch phone feels.

This is no surprise. There was no previous indication that Apple was working on the new iPhone miniform factor. Nevertheless, there is vocals (and I mean vocal) There are a few iPhone users who want to return to that size class, so this report crushes some dreams.

Apple introduced the iPhone 12 Mini with a 5.4-inch screen in 2020, and followed up the iPhone 13 Mini the following year. However, for the 2022 iPhone 14 lineup, Apple abandoned the “mini” form factor and replaced it with the iPhone 14 Plus. The iPhone 13 Mini is an Apple lineup and remained a low-cost option until 2023 when it was discontinued.

This year, the iPhone 16 Plus is expected to be replaced by an all-new, ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air. It’s clear that there’s no pan-out “mini” or “plus” strategy as Apple had hoped for.

Do you think Apple should make another “iPhone Mini” device? Please let us know in the comments.
