Leaked Apple Watch Series 10 Prototype Features Health Sensors I’ve never seen before
The Apple Watch Series 10 was featured in Refresh Design last year. However, when it comes to health sensors, Series 10 has almost the same features as Series 9. Interestingly, the leaked prototype of Series 10 revealed that Apple may have bigger plans for last year’s Apple Watch.
Apple Watch Series 10 Prototypes provide new health sensor tips
Apple Leaker and Collector, known as “Stellafudge,” share images of an interesting prototype for the Apple Watch Series 10. This is because this particular prototype has a “very unique health sensor arrangement” as it differs from other Apple Watches that have been released, as well as the sensors included in the final version of the Series 10.
According to Leaker, the prototype’s heart rate and blood oxygen level sensors are much smaller than the sensors Apple currently uses. However, the back of the Leaked Apple Watch Series 10 prototype also includes an unprecedented “extra light ring” between the ECG and heart rate sensors, so that’s not all there is to it.
Rumors say Apple is working on blood pressure and glucose sensors on its Apple Watch. The company was experimenting with these new sensors during the prototyping phase of the Series 10, but ultimately delayed them in order to focus on the new design. Leaker believes the prototype was used for internal testing using the new health sensor.
Unfortunately, the prototype is fully functional, but runs an internal build of Watchos 11.1 without installing any stock apps (you can only download it via Apple’s internal network). For this reason, there is no way to investigate whether this Apple Watch Series 10 prototype health app has new, unreleased features.
A very unique health sensor arrangement with the prototype Apple Watch Series 10.
The health sensor was significantly reduced, with extra light rings around the perimeter. The watch is also running an unreleased build of WatchOS11 somewhere between 11.1B5 and 11.1RC. pic.twitter.com/8n06jkqt39

Another interesting detail is that the internal builds installed on this prototype date back to October 2024. This suggests that Apple is still experimenting with these new health sensors. Maybe we’ll finally see them running on the next generation of Apple Watch.
