
New Apple TV+ Thriller reunites teams from one of the best reviewed series
Apple TV+ has recently begun teasing its summer lineup. This includes new seasons of some of the biggest hits. Today, Apple unveiled a brand new show soon from the creative team behind one of the best review series of all time.
Smoke is the new AppleTV+ series from the team behind Black Bird
Among the Apple TV+ series lineup that has earned significant critical acclaim, one of the top shows has been Blackbird for a long time.
The 2022 Limited Series scored an impressive 98% on the Rotten Tomatoes, plus several nominations and victory at the Golden Globe and Emmy Awards.
Now, the creative team behind Black Bird is reuniting with a new crime drama that will soon be appearing on Apple TV+.
Smoke premieres Friday, June 27th The first two episodes were released every week until August 8th.
The outline of Apple’s series is vague, but the show was based on the FireBug Podcast, and its pitch was really convincing.
For 10 years, consecutive arsonists terrified Southern California, burning business in the daytime. Four people were murdered. The novel’s manuscript then led to the last person investigator ever doubted.
Blackbird creator Dennis Lehaan returns to the same role for smoke along with the same team of returning directors. Smoke will also feature the same lead actor, Taron Egerton, and support actor Greg Kinnear.
The rest of the cast also appears to be stacked. Emmy Award nominated Junie Smollett and Anna Chilmsky, and Emmy winner John Legoizamo.
If you enjoyed Blackbird, it appears that smoke could replicate the show’s critical success.
