Maybe something in the intelligent domestic chain is playing, you want to give your tone system to a friend, sell it or maybe you just want to start your smart home configuration from scratch.

Whether you have a standard egg or philips bulb or bridge, or a Philips Hue Bluetooth bulb, the good news is that restoring the smart bulbs of Philips Hue is simple and it shouldn’t take it long. So, whether it is restoring a single bulb or a complete system, here we show you how to do it.

How to delete or restore a Philips Egg bulb

If you are dealing with a single Philips Hue bulb or an independent lamp, and want to restore or eliminate the light from the tone alone, you must pass through the HUEC for Android or iOS application, which is probably the way you configure the bulb in the first place.

From the main application screen, touch ‘Settings‘(Lower right corner) and choose’Lights.

Touch the light you want to restore, then touch ‘Delete‘. The application forgets the device and is ready to be added again or used in a completely different system.

If you are not using the Hue bridge or the HUP application, check within the application you are using.

For example, tone bulbs can be removed from the smart speakers enabled for Zigbee and restore taking advantage of ‘devices’ in the Alexa application; Choose the group of rooms, then the bulb, then the gear configuration (upper right), then the garbage icon (superior to the right again).

The bulbs can also be restored if you have an official Dimmer Philips Hue at home switch. With the light in question, keep the attenuation switch near it and hold the ignition and off buttons for 10 seconds or so.

When the light flashes and then stops flashing, the bulb is restarted.

For a more complete restart, you can return your egg bridge to your factory configuration: this will restore all lamps and bulbs in your system at the same time. The bridge of the tone and any lights must be configured again from scratch, in the same way you did when you bought them for the first time.

There is not much in the process here: turn its bridge of tone and you must notice a button ‘Restore the factory configuration’, as shown above.

Keep this pressed for a few seconds and your entire system is restored; You will need a clip or some other small and thin object to push the hole next to the label.

Keep in mind that official Philips Hue support documents only recommend restoring a system if you tell you a customer service advisor: it is not something to do lightly. Depending on your configuration, you may have to enter the serial numbers of your bulbs to add them again after a restart.

Remember that restoring your egg bridge means that all your lights and accessories are forgotten in the network. You will lose your preferences, light groupings, scenes, routines, widgets, etc. It really is a last resort option.

Reconfigure your philips egg

Whenever possible, it is better to try to restore their Hue Philips bulbs and the Philips Hue bridge.

Be sure to explore all other problems for solving available before removing system lights or activating the factory reset button on the Hue bridge.

If you only want to reconfigure your bulbs or assign them to different rooms, for example, this can be done easily within the HUP application. Touch through a specific room from the Start tab, touch the menu button (three points, upper right), and can add new lights or change the name of what you have.

Choose ‘EDITION ROOM‘And the application allows you to change your lights: bulbs and lamps can be added or removed from the current room, and you can also change the name of elements touching the pen in the upper right corner. If you have moved your tone up (or below), this is the way to change your hue configuration without restoring anything.

The same goes for third -party applications and platforms, although it is possible that it should consult the official support documents for more information.

If you have added Philips Hue to a Google Home network, for example, go to the Google Home application on your phone; Touch the configuration tab in the lower right and then touch the bulb that you want to delete so not UNK from your Google Home network.

What is ‘Clean’ in the Philips Oz application?

If you click on the configuration button in the lower right corner and then touch ‘Hue bridge configuration’, you will see a screen appear with the ‘Clean’ option.

Tempting, right?

But just touch, make sure what you are going to do and that’s:

Remove all the data from your bridge apart from your rooms, areas, groups and lights; Indeed, it will eliminate all scenes, automatities, schedules and intelligent control configurations for its application and third -party applications.

Definitely, this is something to prove if you have problems and you are considering a hard restart in your tone system.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
