Ezviz adds the recording of the whole day to battery cams with the new and ingenious AOV mode
The continuous recording of security cameras with drums seems to be an emerging trend at this time, such as Reolink and Eufy already have their own variations, and now Ezviz also wants to enter the action.
The Chinese Smart Home specialist has just announced a new feature that calls AOV (video always-on), which carries a continuous recording of time to three of its outdoor cameras, without turning its load routine into a second work.
The CB3 AOV kit, CB8 Lite and CB90 are the first in the alignment of Ezviz to obtain the AOV treatment.
However, AOV does not really mean 24/7 video images. Instead of staying completely alert as a cable camera, the characteristic allows battery models to wake up at regular intervals that can be defined, recording fragments of footage that sew in a period of time.
You can quickly advance through quiet periods, then jump instantly to video in real time every time a person or a car enters the frame, to get a better image of what happened exactly.
Like SO (the superior is without AOV, the following shows how Aov Tech works) …
Technology lives inside the camera chipset, which also allows you to continue using the intelligent intelligent AIs of Ezviz to detect humans and vehicles. The detection range of up to 25 meters also increases, far beyond the reach of the standard PIR sensors on which most other battery cameras are based.
Naturally, this type of coverage 24/7 could wreak havoc on the battery, but Ezviz has reinforced the energy packages offered.
The CB90 flagship looks a strong 10,400 mAh battery and is included with an 8W solar panel, while the CB8 Lite also includes a solar panel.
Even with a few rainy days in the mixture, Ezviz states that these configurations can keep things working up to 120 days in a row, or more with sufficient sunlight.
As for the functions, there is a little overlap between the three models: detection of form with AI, bidirectional talks, Alexa and Google assistant support, siren and stroboscopic deterrence, night vision of color and weather resistance are standard.
The main differences are found in design and resolution. The CB3 AOV shoots in 2K, the CB8 Lite and the CB90 hit up to 2K+, and the CB90 adds a double lens system with wide angle and zoom views, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and up to 512 GB of local storage.
