Apple is expanding tickets for IMAX one-night screening of “F1: The Movie” for sale now
Apple, Warner Bros and Imax have doubled the hype around Brad Pitt’s “F1: The Movie” and are expanding releases around the world. Tickets are currently on sale. Here’s how to get these:
Muru!
Following the sold-out preview screenings in 25 cities, Warner Bros. Pictures and IMAX have announced that they are expanding their fan-first premiere screenings of “F1: The Movie” to 400 IMAX theatres around the world.
The special one-night only event will take place on June 23rd at 7pm local time, ahead of the official film release later that week.
If you want to secure spots through screening, act quickly. Tickets are here, but probably not too long. My local theatre seems to be sold out so there are no spoilers until you can see it when it actually premieres.
Apple’s most ambitious film
Produced by Top Gun Director: Maverick’s Joseph Kosinski and Jerry Brookheimer, F1: The Movie will be filmed over the actual Grand Prix weekend and promise to become “the most authentic racing film of all time.” The film reunites Kosinski with many Maverick collaborators, including Oscar-winning cinematography Claudio Miranda and composer Hans Zimmer.
The film is the main swing of the Apple original films that co-distribute the project. It is also a continuation of Apple’s push to premium theater events as Apple is increasingly aiming to turn the original content into a global blockbuster ahead of its final streaming release on Apple TV+.
Beyond screening, “F1: The Movie” will be open internationally from June 25th and will be held at US theatres and IMAX on June 27th.
