Apple releases iOS 26 Beta 2

Apple has released iOS 26 Beta 2. This update will be replaced by iOS 26 Beta 1, which arrived on June 9th (continued with the updated builds of iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 on June 13th).

The second version of the Pre-Release iPhone software update is now available for developer beta testers. Apple will expand its IOS 26 beta testing in July and add major new versions to the public beta channel.

What’s coming with iOS 26

iOS 26 is the successor to iOS 18. This year, Apple replaced the version numbers for each operating system to reflect this year. This will integrate iOS, iPados, macos, watchos, visionos, and TVOS behind version 26 (not 19, 16, 12, 3, and 19). Something good.

Apple also integrates six operating systems in a new design language that uses visual elements called liquid glass. From glass-like tab bars to optional transparent icon themes, iOS 26 is defined by new visual effects that show light and color bending and morphing behind system user interface elements such as tab bars and chrome.
