Shop E Store A few Google services are available to Apple Watch clients, and Google Calendar unexpectedly became its fourth app today.
Google Calendar for Apple Watch is a simple application that shows a week’s worth of events and Google tasks. There is only a simple list view with the current date and date listed in the top right corner.
Each appointment or task gets its own color coded card with time at the top and followed by a name and location. Tap to see more details.
You are asked to “open the calendar on your mobile phone and see more.” This is a 1:1 match with Wear OS’s Google Calendar. As far as we know, there is no way to create new events or reminders from the Watchos app.
Google Calendar offers two complications starting with “What’s Next.” Available as a circle or rectangle, displays the next appointment and also as a smart stack widget. Tapping will open the app to event details immediately.
There is also the complexity of “Today’s Date” cycles between opening days and dates that you open Google Calendar.
Google Calendar for Apple Watch is deployed with iPhone app version 25.24.1. Join Google Keep (modernization is required), Google Maps, and YouTube Music.
