Nomad launches Icy Blue Stratos band for Apple Watch
Last year, Nomad introduced a never-before-seen Apple Watch band. We combined the athlete-oriented FKM rubber used in the sports band with the high-end, high-quality titanium used in the titanium band and named it Stratos. I was impressed by this band and have been using it basically every day since then. Now they’re back with a new colorway and have just purchased the Icy Blue Glow material on the Stratos band for a limited time. This is a highlight.
I wrote my hands-on review of the original Stratos band here for those who want to check it out. It was the perfect band for how I use my Apple Watch. The inside, skin-contact part of the band had the feel of a sports band with rubber FKM links, and the top looked and felt as premium as the Nomad Titanium. So for me it gave me the best of both worlds. You can wear it all the way up or all the way down! Here are some of the main specifications:
- Grade 4 titanium hardware
- Scratch-resistant DLC coating
- Limited Edition Icy Blue Glow Interior Link
- Flexible link design that fits perfectly on your wrist
- magnetic clasp
- Comes with tools to adjust band length
- Water resistant design
As I mentioned earlier, the combination of materials and comfort makes this one of the most wearable Apple Watch bands I’ve ever tested.

my experience
As I mentioned earlier, I’ve been using the original Stratos band since its release, and I think it’s great. It’s comfortable, lightweight, and works in almost any scenario. I’m using the black on orange look, which pairs well with my black Apple Watch Ultra. Orange accents match beautifully with the action buttons. What I really like about this watch is that it takes the best of both worlds. Before this watch, you had to choose between a sports band and a titanium band. Now I just wear this without thinking. This band is pricey, starting at $179, while titanium bands cost over $200 at other retailers, and a good sports band costs around $49. So it’s great to have the option of getting both materials in one.

Price and availability
The new Icy Blue Glow Stratos bands are available starting today from Nomad’s site. You can choose the color of the titanium hardware from black or natural, and each comes with Icy Blue Glow FKM rubber. The limited edition Icy Blue is $189 and sells out quickly. Nomad will continue to offer original color combinations for $179. This band is made with the Apple Watch Ultra in mind, but will fit most regular Apple Watches as well.
