Ninja Crispi review
Ninja Crispi is not its normal air fryer; It is a modular cooking system that abandons traditional fixed body design for a more flexible approach. With two glass cooking dishes of different sizes, it facilitates the preparation of food by allowing you to dimension your dish to match the portion or cook different consecutive foods without constant cleaning. Containers also double as storage, complete with tapas to keep hot food or save leftovers for later. The lack of temperature control could frustrate some users, but, if you are looking for an easy cooking system to use and savings space, the Crispi is a solid option.

Ninja Crispi: Introduction
- Ability: 3.8l large plate, 1.4L smaller.
- Safe Dishwasher: The main components are safe for easy cleaning.
- Microwave safe and freezer: Makes the leftovers of the kitchen super simple.
Unlike traditional air freyers, which are generally matters such as Foodi Foodi Flexdrawer of Ninja or the Double Stack XL Slimline, the Ninja Crispi looks more like a pyrex baking dish with an elegant hat.
And it’s something like that; That elegant hat is the main cooking unit and is on a tempware glass plate to create fried foods, with very little discomfort.
I have been using the Ninja Crispi for a few weeks, keep reading for my full review.
Design and components
- Two tempware glass cooking dishes
- Four pre -established kitchen modes
- Stackable design for easy storage
Unlike standard air fryers, Ninja Crispi uses removable glass containers instead of built -in trays.
The heating element, officially known as ‘PowerPod’, is closed at the top of the containers, offering a more modular and laptop design. F
Powerpod turns and you can see the convection fan and cooking elements.

In the box you will find two glass of borosilicate tempware glass, 1.4L and 3.8L, that sit on feet protective plastic supports to keep them stable on the surfaces (these plastic bits do not detach themselves, by the way … it doesn’t matter how hard they force them to try, because you did not read the manual first).
These glass dishes are not just to cook, they can also be used to serve, and clip covers allow you to store food for later.
If you need additional dishes, ninja sells separate replacements for £ 24.99 / £ 34.99. The size in the United Kingdom and the United States is actually a bit different. The 1.4L and 3.8L sizes are the sizes indicated for the specific model of the United Kingdom that had for the review.
In the US, the Sizes of the dishes are established as 4-qt, 2.5-qt and 6-CUP; And there are several settings that you can buy with PowerPOD, and additional dishes are available from $ 32.99.

Whatever the size, all cooking is carried out directly in the tempware containers, with a more clear plate inside to help the air flow.
Inserting these plates is quite easy, with rubber corners that stop them when they are sitting where they should, but taking them out after a cook can be a bit difficult, since they obviously heat up a lot.

The PowerPod sits directly on the 1.4L plate, while the largest dish requires an adapter, which is basically an edge that is between the two to help you add.
Cooking controls and a small screen are located at the top of the PowerPOD, which is available in three different colors: green, stone and, get this … cyberspace.
Cyberspace, in case you are wondering, is blue. In the United Kingdom, Sharkninja only lists this color as “blue”, which says a lot.
In use

Those top controls are simple: you get four cooking modes (roasted, fry, recreational and keep hot) along with a timer.
There is no manual temperature control, as it exists with the most traditional Ninja freezers and cooking machines such as Woodfire Pro Connect XL.
That means there is no capacity to increase heat for additional crispy or lower it to cook softer.
However, the initiated starting guide provides cooking times for a lot of different foods, which makes it easier to start and, being Ninja, there is already a growing community of users who offer recipes and online kitchen suggestions.

If you plan to use the Crispi frequently, investing in a good pair of silicone tweezers is an intelligent movement. The food often needs to turn half the cars, and smaller items can slide through the most clear plate holes.
After cooking, tempware dishes can go directly on the table and the PowerPod can be placed directly at the top of your kitchen without risk of burning.
Each component of the Crispi, except the PowerPOD, are freezers, microwave and dishwasher.
This not only makes washing time a little less a task, but it also means that the storage and cooking of leftovers are equally easy.
About that, I discovered that the recruption mode acts better than my usual option to hit the remains of dinner in the microwave when you feel spicy, more about that at one time.
The storage is also simple, with the smallest dish that fits within the largest and the PowerPod stacked perfectly at the top.
Performance
- Excellent cooking results
- Food storage works well, but not for clear items
- Great to reheat leftovers
Despite its simplest configuration, Ninja Crispi offers excellent Freyer cooking performance.
I started with the obvious air of air of air and discovered that, despite the lack of temperature control, fries and things like pepitas, or fish or chicken cooking cooking evenly, although they took a little more than in a standard fryer.
I took things a little further trying some of the suggested recipes in the Crispi guides.

First, I made a bit of tofu and broccoli teriyaki, which acquired the taste of sesame oil and the soy I added, and left super crunchy but not drying.
Next, I made a “Toastie” tuna, which is what the British we call a grill cheese.
I even jazz soaking the bread in egg first, and the results were wonderful and cleaning, compared to when I do the same using a Panini press, it was much simpler.
An advantage of glass design is visibility, you can see that your food is cooked without having to open the fryer and lose heat. This helped me to avoid cooking articles like the broccoli, which cooked faster than the tofu, and watching how melted the cheese was in the middle of my toasted:

For roast mode, I think it is a slightly less hot/blown version of the air fryer. I have not really used it much if I am sincere, although I used it to make a simple pasta baked, and it worked well, the most clear plate for things like this is not necessary.
With the detention mode, I have also taken to use the Crispi to heat the leftovers that were not actually cooked in the Crispi.
Leave pizza, the remains of Biryani chicken mixed with some tablespoons of Tarka Dhal, and even a little sauteed have come out fresh, and possibly much better, than they would do if I had used the microwave.
Final thoughts
Ninja Crispi is different from anything else in the market. If you have space for a traditional air fryer and want more temperature control or additional cooking modes, it could be better with a more conventional model.
But if the space is tight, you want the flexibility of cooking in separate dishes, or needs something super simple to use, the Crispi stands out as one of the most versatile air fryers that I have tried.
How do we try
When we publish our reviews, they may be sure they are the result of “living” with long -term tests.
Because we are testing new devices all day, every day, we know what matters and how a particular device is compared with the alternatives that could also be considering.
Our reviews are integral, objective and fair and, of course, we are never paid directly to check a device.
