nomad tracking card
I only lost my wallet twice and was able to invest in a proper tracker that supports Apple Find My. Similar to Apple AirTags, Find My trackers can help you find lost items, notify you when you’ve left something behind, and track your luggage while you travel.
The first Find My tracker I used with my wallet was a Chipolo card tracker. If you forget the brand name, one burrito bowl will help you remember it. Anyway, my Chipolo Find My tracking card ultimately didn’t last as long as the battery life. The plastic cracked and became unreliable after about a year.
I have since replaced it with Nomad’s Find My tracking card. Like the iPhone, it can be charged with MagSafe wireless charging and lasts about 5 months between charges. Luckily, I haven’t lost my wallet since using it, but it’s already handy for finding out which sofa cushion my wallet hides under in a pinch. BACKBONE One Mobile Game Controller
I’m not much of a gamer myself, but when my kids ask me to play Fortnite with them, the BACKBONE One mobile game controller comes in handy. Works with iPhone 15 and newer, or any Android smartphone with USB-C. When I try to play with touch controls, the kids would rather I not be on the team. If you’re actively using your iPhone all day long, no amount of battery life will ever be enough. That’s why Mophie’s Powerstation Wireless Slim goes everywhere with me and my iPhone 17 Pro. You can also power it from a USB-C power bank if you want to use it away from a wall outlet. I love how it transforms a blank wall in my bedroom into a great movie screen.
OWC super fast external SSD
I’ve upgraded my Mac over the years, but until this year I was still using the same old Thunderbolt external hard drive. It was hot, noisy, and much slower than the files on my Mac. I finally upgraded to an OWC SSD with an aluminum heatsink a few months ago. Belkin 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Station
I’m still using the same Belkin MagSafe 3-in-1 wireless charging station from 4-5 years ago, but the new version is even better with faster 15W wireless charging and Apple Watch fast charging support. If my OG version no longer works, I will always replace it with the latest version of this product. For me, this is the perfect 3-in-1 wireless charger for my desk or bedside table, and being able to wirelessly charge my iPhone, Apple Watch, AirPods or another iPhone at the same time is great. The latest version retails for $119.99, but is available for 35% off at $77.75 as part of our Cyber Monday sale.
OtterBox 2-in-1 Crossbody Strap
Before there was a fashion-forward Apple crossbody strap, the OtterBox 2-in-1 crossbody strap became a must-have accessory for my family. My son is primarily an iPad user, but he carries an iPhone with him mainly for his parents’ peace of mind. Since this isn’t his primary device, he attached the OtterBox 2-in-1 crossbody strap to a compatible iPhone case to reduce the chance of misplacing it. Also compatible with Apple’s iPhone 17 cases that support Apple crossbody straps. The OtterBox 2-in-1 Crossbody Strap retails for $54.99, but Amazon is selling it for $26.39 in time for Cyber Monday. I would like to borrow it for my child someday.
Mixx Analog System 5 Hi-Fi Vinyl Record Player
I have a small collection of vinyl records mostly to support artists and enjoy the artwork, but I also enjoy playing records from time to time.
