We are committed to reducing our single use plastic packaging and using recycled or recyclable materials where this is not possible. This item is supplied on packaging that is widely recycled.
Please note that leather is a natural, porous product. If the leather becomes wet, some colour run of the natural dye may happen. Leather collars ought not be saturated with water. If the collar becomes saturated, allow it to air-dry naturally and do not use heat to speed the drying process. To keep the item in tip-top shape, we recommend treating with a leather conditioner annually.
When fitting a collar make sure there is a two-finger gap between your dog’s neck and the collar.

Ancol Beginnings
In 1971, Ann and Colin Lane created Ancol , the name taken from joining their first names together. The Company would bring the heritage and knowledge of the Walsall leather trade to a growing market: pet accessories.
The first items produced by Ancol were leather dog collars. Carefully created by craftsmen in Walsall, the excellent quality brought instant success to this young business.
Leatherwork in Walsall
Due to the invention of Motor vehicles, the Walsall leatherworkers began to focus less on equestrian saddles and more upon leather items such as bags, belts, wallets and hatboxes.
Where we are now
Though many things have changed in 51 years, Ancol Pet Products remains a family business, with Ann and Colin’s granddaughter now head of social media, a role that could not have been imagined when the company was set up!
Ancol remains a local business situated in Walsall.
Technology has moved on
We have invested in cutting edge machinery to ensure we can continue to make quality leather goods here in the UK. and minimise waste. However, every collar and lead is still hand finished by our team for ultimate quality and craftsmanship.
Though Ancol now produces much more than dog collars, distributing various accessories for cats, dogs and small pets, we are still known first and foremost for our collar and lead offering, of which our UK-made leather products form a huge part.
