Can I wash the cutting mat?
Yes, you can wash it with warm water or with a mix of 3/4 water and 1/4 vinegar. Make sure to remove cloth threads before washing, let the mat dry completely before usage and avoid bending the mat in any part of the process.
Which grid is on the mats?
You can choose, we offer our cutting mats with either metric markings or imperial markings.
How does the self-healing layer work?
The self-healing layer allows most of the cuts in the mat to heal, without leaving significant traces. Thanks to the unique material used in the layers, most of the cuts will be restored.
Are cutting mats heat resistant?
No, when exposed to too much heat the cutting mat can bend or even melt. This can compromise the effectiveness of the mat for its intended purposes.

SELF-HEALING – The self healing cutting mat A3 consists of 5 layers of different PVC materials. When an incision is made, the top layers of the self healing mat contract together to hide the cut and keep the surface flat.
SUSTAINABLE – The two underlying layers are made from strong recycled PVC, which reduces the environmental footprint of our product.
PROFESSIONAL GRID – Both sides of the hobby mat include a metric patchwork grid. The patterns and text are professionally applied, ensuring long-lasting readability.
COLOUR & SIZE – Elan cutting mat pink has two different colours. One side is pink and the other side is purple. Elan cutting mats have a metric scale available in sizes 200×100 CM, 150×100 CM, A0 (120x90cm), A1 (90x60cm), A2 (60x45cm), A3 (44x30cm), A4 (30x22cm).
