Born in southern Italy where it is also known as “a cuccumella”, the Neapolitan coffee maker is an emblem of Italian tradition. Preparing a coffee with Neapolitan is a ritual to follow with care, a rite that has become a true symbol of hospitality and conviviality. This model is made of 18/10 stainless steel. The coffee obtained with the Neapolitan coffee maker is characterized by an intensely aromatic taste and a light body. The ideal grind for this process is medium/coarse, not fine as for common coffee makers type Moka. The Napoletana coffee maker consists of a water tank (equipped with handle), a filter group composed in turn of the “shirt” and the filtro lid, a container with spout and handle and finally a lid. The operation is very simple, the water is poured into the tank fino about half cm from the hole (placed on the tank); the ground coffee is placed in the “shirt” to which the filter lid is then screwed. Carefully insert and insert the entire filter group into the water tank. Lastly, the collection tank is interlocked, bringing the two handles to align. The steam escape from the hole will indicate when the water has reached the boil. After turning the coffee maker, the water will drop by drop and “leaching” on the coffee that will collect in the tank with the spout. The percolation time is about 5-6 minutes after which you can remove the filter group and the water tank, place the lid and then serve the coffee.
