I love to dream myself away into a world where things turn out well for those who deserve it, and good triumphs over evil. The Regency period is the perfect background for these kinds of stories. My favourite tropes to use are Cinderella, rags-to-riches, evil siblings and damsels in distress. Naturally, the villain will always get their comeuppance and there’s a guaranteed happy-ever-after for the hero and heroine.
