What is the difference between the Wired and Wireless Smart Thermostat?

The Wired Smart Thermostat replaces wired thermostats connected e.g. to your boiler. You’ll need the Wireless Smart Thermostat if you have a wireless thermostat connected to your boiler or none at all.

How does the Wired Smart Thermostat – Starter Kit work?

Like every Starter Kit it includes the Internet Bridge, which connects to the internet via your router. It communicates wirelessly with your Wired Smart Thermostat, which is connected directly to your boiler.

Can I install tado° by myself?

All tado° devices can be installed by yourself. You don’t need any expert knowledge. Just follow the step-by-step instructions in our online installation assistant. Alternatively you can book a professional installer.

How do I know if my heating system is compatible with the Wired Smart Thermostat – Starter Kit?

“tado° works with all common heating systems and most manufacturers.

You’ll need the Wired Smart Thermostat – Starter Kit if your home has its own boiler, with the heating controlled by a wired room thermostat.”

Can I add more Smart Thermostats to my Starter Kit?

You can add up to 25 Smart Thermostats, Smart Radiator Thermostats and Add-ons to your tado° home. For example, you can control the heating in each room individually by adding Smart Radiator Thermostats to your radiators.
