Dreame X50 Ultra Extraordinary Launch Event
CES 2025: Robotic vacuum cleaners, pool cleaners and more unveiled
Remember that Dreame prototype on display in Berlin at IFA last year, the one that could climb stairs (albeit small ones)?
It is no longer a prototype, as the ProLeap system was officially launched on the Chinese brand’s latest flagship, the Dreame X50 Ultra, which has just been presented in Las Vegas at CES 2025.
The ProLeap system uses retractable robotic legs, allowing it to scale obstacles up to 4.2cm or multi-level steps, such as patio doors up to 6cm; So if you have a multi-level floor in your house, this could be the answer.
You won’t climb the stairs to the second floor, but you will be able to navigate through different levels on the same floor.
Navigation is handled by an advanced DToF LiDAR, combined with a 360° scanning sensor, and it also has a huge suction power of 20,000 Pa.
It features Dreame’s Detangling DuoBrush, which we’re told handles 100% of tangled hair effortlessly, and it also features Dual Flex Arm technology for perfect edge and corner coverage, as both the brush and pads for mopping they can be extended.
It’s not as svelte as the new Roborock Saros S10, but it’s slim enough to fit under an 89mm gap. And the LiDAR sensor can also be retracted to fit under furniture.
It’s also compatible with Matter, so you can make it sing and dance with any smart home ecosystem you use.
The Dreame X50 Ultra will launch in February and will be priced at £1,399 in the UK and $1,699.99 in the US. You can pre-order now.
The X50 Ultra joins the new line of high-end Dreame 2025 automatic cleaners with the existing X40 Ultra, which features an extendable and lift-up side brush, as well as MopExtend RoboSwing technology to reach under low surfaces; and the X40 Master, which has a compact base (only 28cm high) for a more seamless installation.
Dreame also introduced another interesting concept in Las Vegas; a multi-arm bionic joint robotic feature that looks like it could surpass what Roborock has introduced with the Saros Z70: Dreame claims it can lift objects up to 400g.
In addition to robot cleaners, Dreame also has a ton of other new cleaning technologies launching at CES, including the H12 Pro FlexReach Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaner (pictured below), which features a unique 180 horizontal lie-down capability. ° and drying with hot air at 60°C. °C.
There’s also the Z30 cordless stick vacuum cleaner, with its massive 150,000 rpm turbo motor that provides 310 AW of suction while filtering 99.99% of impurities from the air through a HEPA filter.
Dreame is also expanding its aquatic activities with the launch of the Z1 Pro robotic pool cleaner; a smart pool cleaning assistant that features PoolSense technology for intelligent pool shape recognition and a LiFi control system with advanced optical communication.
