Report: Apple Planning ‘Bold’ New 20th Anniversary Design for iPhone 19 Pro
According to Mark Garman of Bloomberg, Apple is preparing a “major shake-up” for the 20th anniversary of the iPhone next year. One of the changes will include the first time it will introduce a foldable iPhone, but the company is reportedly planning a “bold new pro model.”
This device will ultimately make Jony Ive watched the vision for the iPhone first, if things are stuck on the plan. Reports say he has long defended the iPhone “looks like a piece of glass.” This concept has become very clear on the iPhone X.
Apple has only been left with a thicker, more refined iPhone these days, but it appears to be heading in the direction of what Jony Ive had wanted. The shift begins with the launch of the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air model later this year, and will be rolled out next year with the 20th anniversary PhePhone.

However, the company is preparing a massive shakeup for the 20th anniversary of the iPhone, including a foldable version and a bold new Pro model that uses a wider range of glass.
An iPhone with more glass probably sounds like a headache of more durability and repairability to most people, but that sounds perfectly consistent with what Apple does. It also makes perfect sense to implement this kind of shakeup, which marks its 20th anniversary.
In the past, Gurman has reported that the iPhone 17 Air is just the first step to help all iPhones ultimately become ultra-thin. We were able to see Apple implement both ultra-thin, glass-like designs for the iPhone 19 Pro. This will satisfy your vision of creating an iPhone that looks like a single piece of glass.
Unfortunately, Garman does not provide any important design details other than the fact that it uses more glass. You need to leave the rest to your imagination.
